TRAVEL/ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS
FOR VISITORS OUTSIDE PORT GLASGOWBy Train – For all Inverclyde events: Glasgow Central – Gourock trainline
Journey times are between 36 mins (Port Glasgow), 48 mins (Fort Matilda – for Saturday evening Greenock event) and 52 mins (Gourock)
By Car – Journey west on the M8 from central Glasgow, continuing along the A8 following signs to Greenock. Distance approx 25 miles. Journey time approx 45 mins
FRIDAY 6th NOVEMBER 2009
PORT GLASGOW, TESCO CAR PARK, TOWN CENTRE1:00PM
BIG MAN is awakened, washed, dressed, hair combed and ready for the day ahead.
1:30PM
BIG MAN begins his walk and is entertained and presented with gifts along the way. He walks across to the Town Centre, up Princes St, along John Wood St and down King St then back to Tesco car park.
4:00PM
BIG MAN WALKING goes to sleep.

MORNING, SATURDAY 7th NOVEMBER 2009
DAVIDSON DRIVE, GOUROCK10:30AM
BIG MAN arrives in Gourock at Davidson Drive beside Gourock Primary School, and is entertained and presented with gifts
11:00AM
BIG MAN walks up Broomberry Dr, down King St., along Davidson Dr and back to the school to be further entertained.
12:30PM
BIG MAN goes for a siesta.

EVENING, SATURDAY 7th NOVEMBER 2009
BATTERY PARK, GREENOCK5:45PM
School students pick up lanterns at the car park behind the pavilion
6:00PM
Muster of Grand Parade at the car park behind the pavilion.
6:15PM
BIG MAN is lead around the park by the parade, entertained by pipers along the way
7:00PM
Annual Firework Spectacular.
7:20PM
Pipers play a lament as Big Man Walking takes his leave of Inverclyde

times to be confirmed, but Gourock morning BIG MAN walking from 10:00am and Grand Parade at the Battery mustering at 4:30 in the all weather pitches
