Two weeks to go, and its all hands on deck for the costume making. South Lodge Primary School made us all go 'WOW' with their beautiful blanket squares!
Next date for rehearsals October 13th... (3;30pm... meet Invergordon Arts Centre) everyone welcome to join in with some dancing and singing as we walk the route....

Thanks to Una for the 1,2,3 waltz steps; Joanna for tirelessly sewing; Emma, Danny, Keri & Danielle for painting; Malcolm for being our message centre; and everyone who is helping out along the way!

And the gulls of Invergordon have just been sighted and recorded in Evanton; squawking mostly in tune, with slight variations in pitch.............
Karrie and I can hardly contain ourselves with excitement about Big Man and putting together the community events. We never stop thinking about the 20th Oct and we and members of the community are always coming up with more ideas and hoping - and I think we'll do it with Invergordon's wonderful help and cracking sense of humour - to get all the ideas in!

The Invergordon Guild of Watchers are gathering. The whole community is preparing to welcome the Big Man. People are learning to Waltz and Gay Gordon down the street. The grand Fairy-cakes and scones baking network is spreading. The seagulls of Invergordon are excited about their red tights; The sound of a lullaby is growing stronger; The patchwork blanket is growing bigger; Distant drums are approaching; And there’s a rumour that the Big Man enjoys comedy… so he’ll love the mini Caber tossers and bearded Highland dancers.

The people involved include The Youth Clubs, Birchwood Highland, Guides, Brownies, Cub-Scouts, Schools, Choir, Isobel Rhind Centre, WildCats, St Ninian’s Church, Ross Sutherland Rugby Club, and many people who happen to walk innocently past the Watchers in the High Street.

Rehearsal dates: October 13th and October 19th at 3:30pm -6 p.m. meet Invergordon Arts Centre. October 20th is THE DAY… meet 3pm at Albyn Housing.
