My first choice would be Big man at the Pavilion 2nd outside the Discovery Centre 3rd in front of the ferry They have a good lot of people in them and you can see how busy Bute was and how popular the Big man was.

Big Man Wishes Us A Happy 2010

Hello,

1st January was a fantastic day - cold, but beautiful, with a clear sky. We really couldn't have asked for better for Big Man's outing.

Big Man Walking was a part of the Edinburgh Hogmanay events organised by Unique Events who dubbed him "New Man Walking" - Big Man Walking into the New Year - and he attracted thousands more than we expected. He was also given a 4 star review in the Scotsman from Joyce Macmillan and a huge double spread photo!

Hello!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas...

This is just a quick wee reminder that Big Man will be Walking in Edinburgh on the 1st January to bring in the New Year.

I'm sure you're all aware of this by now, but... he'll be starting off behind Holyrood Palace and will then walk up the Royal Mile to finish off at the Tron where he will watch "Firelight - Carabosse".

We hope to see you there!

Hmmm, if your fellow's mosty a visual phenomenon, I wonder if the International Mime Festival might be interested in inviting him over next January. Helen Lannaghan is the contact, here's their website - http://www.mimefest.co.uk/

I think you should follow up on the Olympics Ceremony idea. Supposedly there's some funding for 'Cultural Olympics' haha, and seems like this would fit right in.

2m long socks? what *ahem* girth of calf are we talking about?! i'm guessing a few days but obviously longer if you're wanting a fancy pants design (although i doubt he's the novelty sock-wearing sort....). could be a task for the dusty knitting machine.
